Mobile device security?

Post by Dieselrider » Thu Mar 08, 2018 9:29 am

Has this been talked about on here? Sorry if I am bringing it up if it's already been discussed. But, what type of security should we be placing on mobile devices? Smart phones, tablets etc. Will security procedures interfere with data transfer between your desktop and mobile device? Are these things costly? Are there free ways and do they work?

I have no experience at all and m curious as to where others are on this topic. Is it something to be concerned about and prepare for or is it not really an issue this time? Thanks.

On my Android phone I installed Malwarebytes. I've been using it on my Windows boxes 'forever' (I have a couple lifetime licenses that are not sold anymore, it's subscription based nowadays).

The mobile version comes with a free and a premium, subscription based, version. I subscribed (it's $11.99/year).
Since MWB saved my butt on Windows boxes several times I trust them to take good care of my phone, too.
