Typing along just fine and then the words jump back 2 sentences ago. Have to start over. Fixed it once, quite by accident. But now it's doing it again.

Are you using a laptop with a "touch pad" for the cursor? if so, they are notoriously known for that.
I have the same problem with my laptop, when you are typing, if you move the cursor out of the
typing area to a blank spot on the page you will have better results.
