Gerrit ?????

Post by tacon1 » Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:33 am

Here's another question I had for you yesterday that apparently did not post. we'll see how it goes today.

Anyway, I was wondering why when I go to post the text is not (in the field) where it used to be but rather a new box below it?

Looks like you fixed the "fatal error" problem. Thanks.

While I type the text it appears here in the box.

When I click preview it looks like this.

No clue what is happening on your end...
My examples were also from Firefox on Windows 10.

I checked some other browsers (Oprea, Brave, Chrome, Vivaldi, MS Edge, Safari - all the latest versions) and operating systems (Win 7, Linux Mint 18.3, Mac OS Mojave and High Sierra) and it all looks like it should.

Can you check with another browser?

Gerrit, I found out what is causing this. I added an extension to Firefox called Grammarly. It catches grammar and spelling errors. I found that I really like it so far.
However, it is the cause of the trouble on Newbies so I tried to disable it and found that solved the problem. (if it is a problem or just an annoyance) Funny thing is that it only happens on Newbies. All my other sites/email, etc are not affected by it.

If you want to check it out.

Good that you found it!

I'll take a look at the extension one of these days.
