Why do I ask this? Since you tried another mouse and that didn't help I'm suspecting something in the software. Without info helping is sorta difficult..

OK.. IE(10) is notorious for scrolling problems, especially if you have add-ons (like toolbars etc. ) installed.

You can try to disable the add-ons one by one and see if that helps.
To do this tap and hold the Windows key and type R.
In the window that opens, type inetcpl.cpl and click OK.
Now the Internet options window opens. Click the Programs tab and click on the Manage add-ons button.
This opens the installed add-ons.
Click the enabled add-ons one by one and then disable them by clicking the Disable button (right bottom) and see if that helps. If it doesn't help for the first disabled extension or toolbar, enable it again and go to the next one and do the same.
This may find the problem. Keep the culprit disabled. :)

It might be easier to use another browser. Try Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/) or Google Chrome (https://www.google.com/chrome/index.html) and see if scrolling works good in either of those.
Microsoft browsers are not the best around and changing to FF or Chrome may solve your problems.

Hi mark55. I tried to register for Kountrylife too. It wouldn't let me. After lurking for a few weeks I feel like you do and have silently thanked them for not letting me in ever since.
Hope

I sent the following to support at YT.

The profile button does not work using a VPN. No real way to get a consistent IP. It is always changing, normally to a US based IP. Using my local ISP assigned IP the button does work. YT must have a list of banned IPs that it won't allow certain to work, yet other work normally. Some of the IPs the VPN uses may be on such a list.

That's correct, using that type of VPN where open proxies are used, will be blocked in some parts of the system.

Noah,

We do block all but US and few other countries, but that wouldn't be it. It would probably be a block against a net that had fraudsters or spammers we had repeated problems with. With modern, we don't really block someone already logged in, just registration, and the profiles use the same code as the registration. You might see what general address range you get by looking a the public address space with IP Address(I put that url in cause it is courtesy of Gerrit) :D .

Thanks,
Chris
